The Somerset Maine County Dems want to officially congratulate Biden and Harris on their most historic victory. Although the country is divided we have a man now in the White House that will break down barriers and heal this country. I want to personally thank all the volunteers in Somerset County that help made this happen. Our voices have finally been heard

The Coordinated Campaign and Somerset County Dems needs volunteers to canvas. It can be on your own time and not a set schedule. We are practicing social distancing so apartment buildings and houses with mudrooms to enter the property will be marked as inaccessible. There are some basic questions to ask and can enter them into a reach app. Please reach out to to either myself at or Willa from the coordinated campaign wschwarz@mainedems.orgWe need assistance in this process because there is limited time and we have come across several undecided folks. Sincerely:Robert HyerChair – Somerset County Dems

Mike Hein is a former Maine Republican state representative candidate and a member of the Central Maine Labor Council. You’ve probably heard the old saw about a chicken and a pig’s contribution to breakfast. In producing a hearty meal, the chicken (eggs) is involved, but the pig (ham/bacon) is really committed! That’s how I felt over the years as an active, registered Maine Republican. Always somewhat involved, but never really committed to most the party’s platform or ideals. Their views on most matters left me bitter, angry, or scared. The left was going to take our guns; the progressives were going to institute communism; the liberals hated God. All of it really scary, and none of it true. Now in this Year of the Plague, with a pandemic making us reassess what is important, Maine’s Republicans are intent to double-down on their anti-science, live-free-and-die recklessness. It’s embarrassing. So, earlier this month, I…
